Daniel is my cousin and the third of five boys in his family.  He and Kristen have been dating for several years and with her easy going personality she fits right in with all the boys and our whole crazy family.  Daniel, you did good!  They were so good in front of the camera, I barely had to encourage them to be cute and interact – they were just themselves.  It was great!  I’m glad we finally had this gorgeous day for shooting too because if I remember correctly, we had to reschedule twice because of wind and rain!  I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next summer!

First we started out over here at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano.

Then we drove over to Las Colinas to the canals.  Aren’t they cute?

This was a quick shoot – Erin and Michael aren’t big fans of pictures of themselves and kept telling me over and over that these were probably going to be horrible pictures (but that it wouldn’t be my fault =)  I hope that these photos change your minds you two!  I’ll be photographing Erin’s bridal portraits and their wedding next month, so stay tuned for more of Erin and Michael.

I just can’t tell you how much fun I had on this shoot!  It was me, Tim, Lindsey and both of their moms and we wandered the beautiful grounds of the Hilton DFW Lakes out in Grapevine for two hours and if the sun hadn’t gone down we could’ve kept going!  If you are looking for a location for your engagement session, this is a great one, I’ll definitely be using it again!  I must admit that when Tim and Lindsey told me that both of their moms were there I was a little bit nervous.  But these two girls frolicked around, skipping, swinging, playing horseshoes and carrying the bags and clothes having a grand old time all by themselves.  Meanwhile Tim and Lindsey rocked their session.  I was totally exhausted when I got home that night but I was absolutely busting at the seams squealing with delight as I loaded these pictures onto my computer!

These first two are totally different from the rest but I had to include them.  Lindsey has the most gorgeous eyes!

For some reason I just love this one, I’m really loving lens flare right now =)

I am in love with this shoot!!!  I knew when we were shooting that we were getting some good stuff, but once I sat down and started editing them, I was like dang! Cheryl & Mike rocked it!!  These photos are so sexy and romantic, I love it!

Cheryl & Mike were set up on a blind date at the Gossip Bar at the Hilton Anatole.  One of Cheryl’s friends worked there and was keeping an eye on her in case things went south and she needed to be rescued!  They obviously hit it off =)  When the outside weather wasn’t working for us, Cheryl suggested that we go to the Anatole to do their engagement pictures.  I’m so glad she did!  Kate Brewer came with and offered her amazing assistance and expertise.

I just loved Dan & Jess’ engagement session last July, it was so romantic!  You can see the original post here, but I redid some of the photos and put them into a collage that I thought I’d share with you.  I’m really into collages right now =)

Saturday afternoon I had a great time down in Deep Ellum with John and Mackenzie for their engagement session.  It was cloudy and it was windy, but we still had a great time and got some great shots!  Deep Ellum is a fantastic area to take engagement pictures.  We even managed to find a real  billiard place after both the iPhone and the GPS lied to us about where we could find one!  Here are some of my favorites -

I found out that John and Mackenzie like to play pool together, so I suggested that we go take some photos at a billiard!  Like I said before, it was third time’s the charm finding one with our GPS’s lying to us!  I think it was worth it -

Friday afternoon, Rachel and I went out to downtown Fort Worth to do Jeff & Meagan’s engagement photos.  We had great weather and great light and I love shooting in downtown anywhere, so this was tons of fun!  We started at the very building where their reception will be taking place!

Saturday I did Chris & Ashley’s engagement photos.  These two were fun to work with!  They knew how to be cute in between poses which makes for some great candid shots.  Ashley has a lot of sass which of course I love, and it wasn’t even that hot out, thank God!  Here are my favorites -

A couple of months ago, Rachel and I hid in the bushes after she set up and I photographed Charlie proposing to Odille.  Well recently we went out to McKinney Square and took their actual formal engagement photos.  Here are a few!
