I announced this in my newsletter yesterday.  The super cool people who are signed up to receive the newsletter get all of my special announcements before I announce them here on the blog, so I’ve been waiting to get to share this with my blog readers!

I’m so excited to announce that this month on September 24th, I will be hosting $50 portrait sessions at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve!  These 20 minute  portrait  sessions  will take place between 5:00 and 7:00 pm on the 24th, at a beautiful  location  within the preserve where I have selected a prime backdrop of beautiful lighting and scenery.

The cost for your 20 minute session is only $50, what easier way to capture a family portrait this year?  You will capture memories of your family as they are in 2009 in manageable 20 minutes, you get to be outside at a beautiful park in beautiful weather, and it’s all for only $50!

It has taken me all day to get this blog ready!  I’m such a chronic non-restarter that my computer is always like, “I’m going to go sooooo painfully slow even though I’m a powerful beast of technology to punish you for not restarting me!!!!  GRRRRR!”  Do I just restart?  Of course not.  I think, “Oh I just have to do this and then I’m done.”  Three hours later when I can’t take it any longer, I finally restart.  So here we are!

On Sunday, my good friend Rachel Phillips of Rachel Events was a part of Stonebridge Ranch Country Club’s bridal show featuring their preferred vendors.  Rachel never does anything halfway and like myself loves things to be bright and fabulous!  I love reading blogs like the Wedding Chicks and Southern Weddings when they post color palettes, so I thought I’d do a little color swatch myself.  Although this was just one table as a demonstration, wouldn’t these colors make for a fabulous wedding?  I love it!  Rachel is wonderful, check her out.

Phew!  Finally done with this post.  Now I’m going to go outside and enjoy some sun!

Last Saturday I had the absolute privilege of photographing Gretchen’s surprise 60th birthday party.  The party was planned by the fabulous Rachel Phillips of Rachel Events.  It was such a good time!  Gretchen is absolutely the cutest thing!  She reminds me of Meg Ryan with all of her little expressions and energy.  And her sister ZoAnn, who co-hosted the party with Penni Williams, is a Dreyer just like me!  Here are some favs from the party.
